Who writes here

Elke Wouters has watched what is licensed in Belgium since 2018 and works through every operator himself paying particular attention to the maths behind bonuses. Lives and works in Leuven.

How we test. we register like any other player, put an amount in via Bancontact, pull the money out and time the whole route. We hold the name against both of the regulator's lists and check what the terms actually say.

Our income comes from affiliate commissions; the assessment is not altered by it. A missing licence is never left unsaid.

What the law imposes

Player protection in Belgium is arranged more tightly than the Netherlands or France with effects you cannot route around. By default €200 per week per site may go in.

Self-exclusion in Belgium is handled centrally, through EPIS: whoever registers is barred everywhere immediately, online as well as offline. Reversing it is not immediate. Casino, gaming hall and sports betting are 21-and-over since 1 September 2024; scratch cards and Lotto stay at 18. The check is automatic.
